Rumsfeld flip-flop

LMAO at seeing these two stories side by side.

Reuters, 10:50 AM:

Democrats' win alone won't drive Rumsfeld out

Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, the face of U.S. war policy and a lightning rod for critics worldwide, will not be forced out just because he faces a tougher time from resurgent Democrats.

...
"He's not resigning," said one of those officials. "He's best when he's criticized."

Bloomberg, 1:02 PM:

Rumsfeld Resigns as Defense Secretary, Official Says

  1. Six years too late, but better late than never! And you're right, those two statements look great together.

  2. Seems like the Republicans are experiencing a lot of foot in mouth disease recently--- have you seen some of the recent articles about how Bush is NOW actually saying that we need to stay in Iraq.... because of the oil?

Locally (TX) I'm disappointed but not surprised by the election results (a bit frustrated by the way Perry's win was largely due to his opposition being split in thirds)-- nationally things seem to be shaping up rather nicely.
